Birmingham based regional Airline Flybe has recently released a statement on their website stating that they have ceased all operations and passengers that have booked a flight should not travel to the airport.
The statement on Flybe's website was as follows:
Why Did Flybe collapse again?
Many believe that Flybe's collapse was due to the late delivery of 14 Bombardier dash 8 Q-400's. This late delivery of aircraft means that they could not operate some of the routes that they were hoping and hence they had decreased profits.
This will now be the 2nd time that Flybe has collapsed and this time it was for a very long period compared to the very long 41 years that they operated from 1979 until 2020
