Americas 2nd biggest airport Los Angeles (LAX), suffered a power outage at around 2pm PT on Wednesday 1st of February, In a tweet released by the airport they said:
.@LADWP is assessing a power issue impacting some LAX facilities at this time. The airfield is operating normally but some terminals, traffic lights and other systems may not have power. Our teams are working on the issues with DWP now. Follow us for additional updates. — LAX Airport (@flyLAXairport) February 1, 2023
The power was later restored around an hour later, with all 9 of the terminals being affected, however the airfield remained fully operational but, the ability to not use Jet bridges, and the TSA not being able to screen passengers meant that there were significant flight delays.
LAX is now fully operational again and most flights are back on time
